Rochester-based Enterprise Expectation Systems has formed an advisory board
that will select a nonprofit to receive a donation of up to $100,000 raised
through the company's topmichiganwebsites.com Web site. The board members
are Pat Scroggin, owner of Huntington Ford in Rochester; Colleen McDonald,
president of Holiday Chevrolet in Farmington; Cherie Barnett, owner of Glitz
Salons in Rochester, Orion Township and Clarkston; Oakland County
Commissioner Sue Douglas; Al Marino, owner of Sorrento Pizza in Mt Clemens;
and Joe Hood, owner of Joseph Pontiac and Chevrolet in Fenton.



People can buy pixels of ad space on the site for as little as 12 cents a
pixel. The company plans to generate $500,000 through the site, $100,000 of
which would be donated to a nonprofit selected by the advisory board.
Enterprise Expectation Systems would keep the rest. Applications for
nonprofits that hope to receive the donation are being accepted by the
company until March 31. The selected organization would receive its donation
once all the site's pixels have been sold. As of Wednesday afternoon,
138,200 of the site's 1 million pixels had been sold. Enterprise Expectation
Systems last week launched a similar site called savethedetroitzoo.org,
which aims to raise $550,000 to be donated to the nonprofit Detroit
Zoological Society.
